As the Marketing Coordinator for Sylvan Learning, I had the pleasure of being part of a spectacular event celebrating Read Across America Day on March 2, 2017.

Sylvan Learning teamed up with state titleholders, Julia Scaparotti – Miss Massachusetts USA, Caitlyn Martin -Miss Massachusetts Teen USA and Kolby Tracey – Miss New Hampshire Teen USA.  The queens read Dr Seuss stories to the kids.

St Monica’s school in Methuen, MA hosted us for the day that celebrates Dr Seuss’ birthday. A day to celebrate the joy of reading. The principal, Suzanne Fodini along with the entire staff were so welcoming to all of us.

Sylvan Learning supplied each titleholder with a Dr Seuss themed tote bag filled with Dr Seuss books, stickers, crafts, book markers, pencils and games to celebrate the day with the students from Pre-K through 8th grade.

As the queens interacted with the students, it was a joy to see the expressions of wonder and excitement on their adorable faces. 🤗
